In Queensland, an Advance Health Directive (AHD) is a document that allows you to pre-determine your medical care and end of life care, if you are unable to express those wishes at the time. It gives your Enduring Power of Attorney the ability to advise hospitals, palliative care facilities and others of your wishes, which they are required to abide by.
